Selective Underbrush Clearing

Selective underbrush clearing is a less abrasive version of land clearing than conventional scraping, consisting of both mowing and hydro axing.  Underbrush is precisely removed rather than scraping the area down to the naked earth beneath.

Mowing is used for weedy areas, where-as hydro axing is best for areas with dense growth.  Both provide mulch that enhances topsoil.  Our method of selective underbrush clearing is done with minimal disturbance to fragile topsoil, valued trees, and desirable plants using hydro ax mulching equipment.

Using land management mulching helps reduce the damage of conventional land clearing methods.  Land management mulching minimizes ground pressure disturbances along with adverse impact on saplings and roots. Conventional land clearing application damages the feeder roots as well as the trunks of virtually every remaining tree and topsoil.

With this environmentally friendly way of land clearing, the mulch is uniformly spread over the operation which impedes initial regrowth, helps prevent erosion, and replenishes the topsoil base.  The area is left with a fresh covering of mulch, which eventually decomposes into rich topsoil.
